Welcome to the Aiman & Family Readiness Center!

Airman and Family Readiness supports the Edwards AFB mission by supporting military families. We provide information and support helping people maintain quality lives, enabling our citizens to remain always mission ready.

Our Mission: Build strong and ready communities, work collaboratively to build resilient communities that promote self-sufficiency and enhance mission readiness, retention and adaptation to the AF way of life by providing total force members, their families, and leadership with measurable and effective services.

To better serve our customers and allow more direct communication between the members and AFPC, we prepared several webinars on retirement issues that we will be broadcasting on a recurring basis. The next scheduled webinar is designed to provide members approved for retirement with information on what to expect prior to/following retirement,
along with pertinent data on benefits and entitlements, retired pay, and so forth.

We’ve also prepared other webinars which cover things to consider when contemplating retirement and how to submit a retirement application through the virtual MPF. We will broadcast these briefings on a rotating basis the second Thursday of every month. The upcoming schedule is as follows:

Pillars of Excellence:

  • Health and Wellness
  • Airman and Family Support
  • Education, Development and Employment
  • Airman and Family Housing

The Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Air Force named July 2009 through July 2010 Year of the Air Force Family. The Year of the Air Force Family will provide leadership at all levels a vehicle to communicate information and data to Airmen, family members, surrounding comunities and DoD audiences on the variety and scope of programs offered by the Air Force. The Year of the Air Force Family will be used to highlight the many succesful programs already in place and to inform Airman and their families of the development of new programs, unveiling them throughout the year.

Our family not only includes Acitve Duty, Reserve and Guard component members; officers and enlisted, DoD civilians, spouses and children, but also our valued retirees and their families. Our family also extends out to parents, friends and community partners who support our Air Force mission.
